Help the Piatkowski family reach their goal of $2,500 to sponsor a day of Gilda’s Club Minnesota in honor of Anna Christyna (Piatkowski) Pope, beloved daughter, sister, wife, and friend.
Today, together with Gilda’s Clubhouse Twin Cities, we celebrate Anna’s birthday, and almost unbelievably recognize that it has been 20 years since she passed away due to cancer.
Anna was a lot of things, daughter of Tom and H.G, big sister to Kate and myself, wife to George Pope, friend to so many, actress, singer, artist, baker…… this list could go on for a while, but most of all she was someone who enjoyed life and enjoyed people. She would have loved the support and interactions Gilda’s brings to those enduring cancer and her ability to truly approach each day with a smile and laughter would have resonated with the philosophy of the clubhouse built off Gilda Radnor’s approach. (It doesn’t hurt that she was a massive SNL fan as well.)
