It’s not about the size of the fundraiser, it’s about the size of the heart behind it.

This year marked Bauer Design Build’s seventh annual fundraiser for Gilda’s Club Minnesota. Their generosity has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to support Minnesotans impacted by cancer, and we are so grateful for their continued partnership.
At this year’s event, we were moved by our members Mark and Ryan, who shared their experiences of living with cancer and finding support at Gilda’s. Their stories reminded us all why this community matters so much. There were tears, there was laughter – exactly what you’ll find in our clubhouse on any given day.
Of course, not every fundraiser can bring in $100,000. But here’s the thing: every effort makes an impact. Some of our youngest supporters – our Executive Director’s grandchildren – sold bracelets and played saxophone over Labor Day weekend, raising $17 for Gilda’s Club. This is proof that even the smallest fundraiser can make a difference!
I also think about my mom. Before my mother retired as an administrative assistant at a civil engineering firm, she encouraged her office to support Gilda’s Club Minnesota. Through bake sales, book sales, and silent auctions, plus a company match, her team raised $2,000 in just one year!
Whether it’s $50 or $5,000, every dollar raised helps make sure no one faces cancer alone. And here’s where you come in: you can host a fundraiser too.
