A Time for Self-Exploration

Gilda's Club Minnesota June 21, 2021

For many new beginnings bring a time for self-exploration, where we reflect on our interests and ask questions about ourselves, try new activities, and look for humor. Join Gilda’s in exploring your new beginnings, whether you are a new member seeking inspiration, or a current one looking to rediscover yourself!

Reflection

Join a cohort of writers in Writing Through Cancer: A Writing Workshop Series, Mondays (July 19, August 9 & 30, and September 20) from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm, where you will be guided through hands-on, real-time writing exercises on topics “Diagnosis and Initiation to Cancer,” “Treatments and Medical Team,” “Coping Strategies and Support Systems,” and “Outcomes and Resolution.” As a participant, you will also have the opportunity to share your writing and reactions to the process.

This time of near-constant loss and change continues to challenge the best of us. Add navigating a life-limiting illness, and it becomes clear how unprepared we are to manage this level of grief in our day-to-day lives, much less thrive within it. In Tending Our Relationship with Grief & Loss, on Wednesday, July 14 from, 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm, we will explore what it means to have a personal relationship with grief and how we can tend to this connection in a way that improves our resilience now and in the future. You will come away from this session with specific practices and tools you can use to develop your inner wellness and the wellness of those you love.

Join us online on Thursday, July 22, from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm for an inspirational and practical education workshop on the Power of 3askactivate, and advocate. Not only will you learn how to practice these principles in your daily routines, but you will also learn how to get rid of your fear, gain more peace, confidence, and clarity, and start smiling more!
