Coming Together
In recent months the Gilda’s Club community has truly come together to support each other. The strength and dedication of our volunteers is positively inspiring and has yielded a pay it forward ripple effect on everyone.
Our volunteers have shown up in many different ways, throughout our programming and behind the scenes. A few months back, when we heard about community members facing food insecurity, we converted our free little library into a food pantry. When word got out that the library was now a pantry, our Board of Directors, members, and volunteers started donating food and soon we had a stockpile going. We quickly realized our little food pantry was not going to cut it, and now we have a whole table full of shelf-stable food items inside the clubhouse. Anyone in our community is welcome to help themselves to any food they may need or take food for someone they may know in need of groceries. This is an admirable display of community coming together to support each other.
Even people and organizations outside of our community have stepped up to support us and our members. Trader Joe’s, which generously donates flowers to us each week, kindly donated gift cards for us distributed to community members in need. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helps take care of each other.

With gratitude and appreciation,
