Sharing Nourishment and Care: Our Little Free Pantry

Gilda's Club Minnesota November 14, 2025

At Gilda’s Club Minnesota, our mission is to ensure that no one faces cancer alone. Supporting our members means more than offering emotional and social programs – it also means helping meet practical needs, especially in times of increased financial or food insecurity.

This fall, we transformed our Little Free Library into a Little Free Pantry, stocked with food, pantry items, and gift cards to help members access healthy meals. This small but meaningful initiative has quickly become a place of comfort, dignity, and support for members facing challenges during their cancer journey.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and community partners, members can find:

  • Fresh and shelf-stable groceries
  • Pantry staples like pasta, rice, and canned goods
  • Gift cards to Trader Joe’s for additional flexibility

The pantry is open to all members and is designed to be simple and discreet: members can take what they need, whenever they need it, with no judgment or obligation. It’s a small way we can show that support extends beyond our programs and into daily life.

This initiative reflects what makes Gilda’s Club so special: our community cares for one another in every way. The Little Free Pantry is more than a place for food – it’s a symbol of generosity, connection, and the spirit of giving that defines our clubhouse.

We invite all members to use the pantry as needed and to share in this sense of community care. Together, we continue to ensure that no one faces cancer alone – not just emotionally, but in practical ways as well.
