The Power of Remembrance

Gilda's Club Minnesota September 25, 2026

In our community, we know that cancer leaves a lasting impact on all of us. Whether you are living with cancer, supporting a loved one, or grieving a loss, there are people, moments, and experiences that become part of your story.

Remembrance is one way we honor those stories.

For some, remembrance means celebrating a loved one’s life by sharing memories and traditions. For others, it means reflecting on a difficult journey, recognizing personal strength, or acknowledging the support that helped carry them through. Sometimes remembrance brings comfort, and sometimes it brings sadness. Often, it brings both.

One of the greatest gifts of community is having a place where these memories can be shared. When we tell our stories, honor our loved ones, and recognize the experiences that have shaped us, we remind one another that no one has to navigate cancer alone.

As we take time to remember, we also celebrate the connections that continue to support us today. The love, kindness, and strength we experience along the way become part of the legacy we carry forward.

Thank you for being part of this community and for helping create a space where every story – and every memory – matters.

With peace and gratitude,
